About this instrument
Music can now go everywhere with you. Have you dreamed of playing the harp in nature, in the shade of trees, accompanied by birdsong? The Arna lever harp turns that dream into reality: at just 5 kg it can be played with a shoulder strap, letting you make music freely wherever you are.
With 22 strings, balanced resonance and strong projection, it is an excellent choice for beginners and professionals alike. Around the campfire, by the sea, or in the studio — Arna comes with you. Abroad, harps like this are often called therapy harps, because their easy portability makes them the instrument of choice in music therapy; they are also called lap harps.
Although Arna is our smallest model, it is actually closer in size to other makers’ 26-string harps — generously sized for a 22-string instrument. Many small harps shrink the string spacing and shorten string lengths to save size, which makes them harder to play, leaves strings too slack, and muffles the sound; players used to slack strings then struggle when moving to a full-size harp. Arna keeps proper spacing and tension so technique develops correctly.
To keep the price accessible, the standard model uses plastic levers (a spare lever is included — changing a lever and adjusting intonation is very easy) and plastic strings. Metal levers and higher-grade strings are available as a custom order.
