About this instrument
The koto, also known as the Japanese harp, is a very special instrument — demanding both to build and to play. In Türkiye it is taught and championed by koto artist Atsuko Suetomi. We designed this instrument in response to Suetomi’s wish for a student koto made in Türkiye rather than imported from Japan.
At 130 cm, it is a travel or student size compared to the full 180 cm instrument. The custom-designed stand and the special bridges called kotoji are included in the price; the carrying case is sold separately.
Full-size koto production is also possible — contact us for custom orders. Decoration options are available.
